BIO
Sally DeBaun lives and works in Terre Haute, Indiana. DeBaun’s artwork explores themes of complex emotions such as loneliness, isolation, and mental health. Photography and painting are DeBaun’s most common mediums. Popular subjects of her work include distorted portraits of people or liminal spaces. DeBaun depicts objects of everyday life that are overlooked and often taken for granted to create feelings of distress and atmospheric environments. Graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor’s in art, she utilizes multimedia as a way to communicate complex emotions that words fail to express.
